Chi - Net Gown
Chi and I took these images at the Leslie Studio on January 8th, 2025. We aimed for a moody, 70s-inspired vibe, so we created the set with a vintage lamp, an old radio, a retro box TV, and a paneled wall adorned with a framed painting. To complete the aesthetic, we dressed her in a fitted net dress. I shot these images with a Godox 60W LED light as the key, and an 80W GVM RGB light panel to complement the ambient light from the lamp. I used my Canon R5 with the Sigma Art 35mm f/1.4 lens to capture these images, with settings at f/1.4, 1/100s, and ISO 400.
Daisie - Fishnet Stockings
05-07-25, I had a shoot with Daisie, where she wanted to express her emotional side. We worked together to create a series of images that beautifully blend vulnerability with a sense of quiet sensuality. I think she did an incredible job of conveying that emotion, and I’m honored to have captured it.
For this session, I used a Canon R5 with the RF 70-200mm f/2.8 lens. To shape the light, my main light was a Godox AD600 inside a Glow Deep Parabolic modifier, with a Godox AD200 in a 25-inch Glow beauty dish for fill. My Camera settings: f/8, 1/400 sec, ISO 100.
Stacey - Victorian
On March 3rd of 2025, Stacey and I got together to capture a few sets to build up her portfolio. For this set we went with a Saloon styled outfit, with corset bustier, ruffled skirt and boots to match. I added some red leaf trees for a prop to go with her red corset. I paired my Canon R5 with my RF70-200mm F2.8 to capture these images as well as my Godox AD600 with a 37" Glow Deep Parabolic modifier. My settings were f3.2 1/100s and ISO 125.
Garcia - Sisters
Excited to finally share these images of the Garcia sisters together, a set you haven't seen on the blog yet! This shoot took place on November 16, 2023, at Mulberry Studio before it closed its doors. While I had worked with Rebecca before, this was my initial experience photographing Alexa, and despite sharing the space with another photographer, our collective workflow was exceptional. This session kicked off many more collaborations with them, a journey documented in my earlier and upcoming posts.
For the captures, I relied on two setups:
A Canon R5 and the RF 70-200mm f/2.8 lens at f/5.6, 1/125 sec, ISO 100.
A Canon R with a Sigma Art 35mm f/1.4 lens at f/1.4, 1/160 sec, ISO 200.
Chi - Ladder
Captured these images of Chi in January at the Leslie Studio. I utilized my parents' old wooden ladder as a prop, finding its aesthetic well-suited for her long legs, and opted for a semi low-key lighting setup. The key light was a Godox AD600 on a 42-inch octagon, with a Godox AD200 on a 27-inch octagon providing lower fill. Shot with a Canon R5 and the RF70-200mm f/2.8 lens at f/9, 1/100 sec, ISO 100.
Railey - Black Stockings
Talk about turning a 'bad luck' day into pure gold! These images of Railey, shot on Friday, June 13th, 2025, are easily my favorite set of the year so far – and I've had some really strong ones waiting to be posted. We absolutely crushed it, capturing so many incredible moments that choosing what to edit was the hardest part. My gear for this session was the Canon R5 paired with the RF 70-200mm f/2.8 lens. For lighting, I used the Glow EZ Lock 42" softbox with my Godox AD600 as the key, and the 25" softbox with my AD200 for fill.
Kylie & Kayla - Patriotic
I captured these vibrant images of Kylie and Kaylie using my Canon R5 paired with the RF 70-200mm f/2.8 lens. For the key light, I used the GVM-ST300R with a Godox CS-85T Lantern Softbox (33.5in), and a Godox 60W LED light with a 25in octagon served as the fill. My settings were f/2.8, 1/160s, and ISO 400. While initially shot for the Houston Rodeo season, their outfits also beautifully lend themselves to a patriotic theme!
