Jordan - Lounging
Flashing it back to April 14, 2023 for this elegant lounging lifestyle shoot with Jordan. I wanted to create a distinct, separated look using a cool background tone on the grey canvas.
Here's the setup:
Separation/Background: Godox AD200 with a 7-inch reflector, blue gel, and barndoors.
Key Light: Godox AD600 on a 25-inch Glow beauty dish.
I shot this on my Canon EOS R with the sharp RF50mm f/1.8 lens. Camera Settings: f/2.8, 1/200 sec, ISO 100.
Tamahtzi - Gold Elegance
Kicking off my 53rd season of life with a glamorous studio set featuring the amazing Tamahtzi, (8-26-25)! I had the pleasure of meeting her at a fashion show in March and knew her elegant look would be perfect for this kind of set.
For this set, I used a 4-light setup:
Key: Godox AD600 on a 42-inch Glow beauty dish
Fill: Godox AD200 on a 25-inch Glow beauty dish
Backlights: Two Godox MS300Vs with strip boxes
Camera Settings: f/9, 1/125 sec, ISO 100 on my Canon EOS R5 with an RF24-105 f4 lens.
Rubi - Red Lingerie
Captured on February 7th, 2025, this low-key portrait session with Ruby highlights a striking red fishnet trimmed dress and matching fishnet thigh-high stockings. The set was lit to create a dramatic, moody aesthetic using four strip boxes: two 4-foot Godox SK400s as key lights and two 3-foot Godox MS300Vs as separation lights. The images were taken with a Canon R5 and an RF70-200mm F2.8 L IS USM lens, using the following settings: f/11, 1/100s, and ISO 100.
Megan - Low Key Jeans
These images of Megan were taken on October 13th, 2024 at the Leslie Studio. For this set we chose jeans with a nice shirt and a low key theme.
Savannah - Nike Pro Fit
I shot these images of Savannah J on September 14th, 2024 at the Leslie Studio. I shot these images with one of my gobo projectors and an amber gel to capture this moody look.
Nguyễn Chi - Fringe
I captured these images of Nguyễn Chi at the Leslie Studio on the 15th of July 2024. I shot it on my black wall & black tile floor with 2 strip boxes behind at a 45% angle and a 27 in octobox. Then I moved her over to my sync wall to capture a few silhouette images. All shots were captured with my Canon R5 and the Canon 70 to 200 f2.8.
Meagan - Red & Black
These throwback images of Meagan were taken July 22nd 2022 at Mulberry Studio. I used L.E.D.s to light this set and shot it on my brick wall. I think it's time to get Meg back into the studio.
Chi Nguyen - Low Key Gels
These images of Chi were taken at the Leslie Studio on July 15th, 2024. I used two gels on this set, a red and a blue to high light the beautiful gold dress.

Brie - Red Corset
As usual Brie and I created some beautiful images when she came to the studio on July 3rd. She really rocked this red corset set. I created a living room set and lit it with the lamp, and 2 GVM LED lights. One with a 32in Octagon as the key light front left and the other bare as a fill light, rear right. These Images were taken with my Canon EOS R and my Canon 85mm.
Angelina - Red Dress - Dark
This set of Angelina was taken July 10th at HTX Mulberry Studio. It is the low key set of her in this little red dress. Her sexy punk look was really expressed in these sets. I must say she was a pleasure to work with. For this set I used 2 Godox SK400II, one with a 47” Octagon softbox as the key light from the front right and the other with a 32” Octagon from behind left. My camera of choice was my Canon EOS R with a Canon 85mm F1.8 lens and my 35mm 1.4 Sigma Art.
Fatima - Leather
On June 6th at HTX Mulberry Studio, I had the pleasure to work with the beautiful Russian, Fatima. I wanted to do something a little different from what I had seen of her so I thought a little low key photography with different colors to accent her body and hair. To light her up I used my GVM RGB lights for rim lights, one set at blue and the other set at red. Then I used a Godox AD200 with a 38” deep parabolic octagon softbox above front at a 45 degree angle for the main light. My camera of choice was my Canon EOS R with my 85mm set at ISO 100, f5 at 1/125 of a sec.
Brie - Low Key
These images of the incredibly fit model Brie were taken on December 10th 2020 at HTX Mulberry Studio. I chose to post the black and white as well as one of my preset colors because they both looked great. It was a pleasure working with this young lady. I used my Canon EOS R for this shoot with my 35mm Sigma Art lens. Only one light was used for this set up, A Godox SK400II with a 38” deep parabolic octagon softbox.
Ayla - Blinds Shadows
This set of images were created May 29th at HTX Studio 409. This was a spur of the moment shoot with Ayla. She was downtown and I was doing anything so we decided to meet at my studio and see what we could create. We followed it up the next day with a shoot outside at the park and museum, which will be posted soon. The lighting set up for this set was a Godox SK400II with no modifier to the camera right of the blinds.
Emily - Colorful Dress
Here are a set of images from my first shoot with Emily Porkora, taken on February 15th 2019 at HTX Studio 409. This was a fun shoot, shot on a all black background with blue and green gels and my ice wall to get the reflections from the colorful dress.
